In the HPtunerS Editor select write vehicle, another window will pop up and you have the option to write calibration, write entire, or do not write in each of the modules.
Select write calibration, which is the default setting, unless I instruct you otherwise.
After the flashing process is done, turn the ignition off for 10 seconds, then turn it on for 10 seconds, then off for 10 seconds then you can start the car.
I may also include a logging Channel list and a Layout, with your custom tune file you will save this to mydocuments/hptuners/vcmscanner/channels folder and Layout folder respectively.
Open HPtuners Scanner, from with in the scanner top left of the channel list you can open this channel configuration, then from Layout open the layout configuration file and you are ready to begin logging.
Adding an AEM wide band channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozJz-pNFCuo&t=28s
From within the Scanner there is a green button labeled Vehicle controls, open it then go to the fuel tab and clear fuel trims and fuel composition if available some cars do not have this button..
You will drive the car in the manner I prescribe.
BEFORE LOGGING WITH THE CAR IDLING, YOU MUST HOLD THE TRACTION CONTROL BUTTON DOWN FOR 8 SECONDS TO DISABLE THE TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILTRAK SO THEY DON’T INTERFERE WITH LOGGING.

ALSO PLEASE MAKE SURE THE CAR IS FULLY WARMED UP BEFORE LOGGING.

Find an open road somewhere, 1/2 mile or so long would be great. From a stop, drive the car about Very light throttle up to 5000 rpm, coast down to a slow roll and repeat 3-4 times, on the same log, Manual cars do this in 3rd gear, and Automatic cars in paddle mode use 3rd gear on the Gen 5 and 4th gear on the Gen6.

Then repeat about up to 5500 RPM. Speeding is not recommended or necessary.

Boosted Cars; Do NOT go in to boost until I give the OK to do so.

Stop and save the data log as (Your Name log 1.hpl) Number each one consecutively and save to your desktop.

E-mail me the log files along with your full name, address, phone number(s), and all vehicle information. I.E. year, make, model, engine, transmission, and a list of performance modifications, octane burned.

I need this information with every log also please include any comments you think might be helpful.

Please do not assume I will know who you are by your forum screen name, what kind of car you drive, or what your mods are. I deal with 50-100 people per day so I must have all of your info right in front of me in ONE email so I can properly write or refine your tune.

Your cooperation in reading, understanding and following these directions will make this a very pleasant experience for the both of us!
